A collaboration between the New Media Institute and the UGA Athletic Association brings an exciting new elective to our students! NMIX 4200/6200: Creative Content for Collegiate Athletics will give students the chance to explore the application of social media strategy and creative asset development in collegiate athletics. From graphic design to video production, students will have the opportunity to create various digital assets for potential use on a variety of Georgia Athletics social media channels. Students will learn from industry leaders in professional and collegiate sports and major social media channels.
The curriculum will be developed and delivered via a dynamic partnership between the UGA Athletic Association and the NMI, with hopes of becoming a regular addition to the Spring class schedule. This is an exciting opportunity for both New Media Certificate and Emerging Media Masters students to take a deep dive into sports social strategy.
