To round out a very impressive year of awards and accomplishments, John Weatherford has been selected to participate in the 2019 UGA Active Learning Summer Institute. Hosted by the Center for Teaching and Learning, the Institute is a three-week intensive program for 12 faculty to redesign courses and implement evidence-based instructional strategies that engage students in the learning process. Through workshops and collaboration, John will redesign NMIX 2020, Introduction to New Media, to weave in active learning principles and practices, further enhancing an already fantastic course.

As part of the ALSI, John will showcase the active learning enhancements to NMIX 2020 at the InterActive Colloquium in August. For years, John has made Intro to New Media work beautifully, and we can’t wait to see how he’ll make it work even better!
