NMIXpert: Amelia Cassidy

Amelia has been involved with the NMI since Summer 2025, where she began building her skills in tech and design through hands on coursework and collaborative projects. Since getting started, she has enjoyed exploring the intersection of creativity and technology while growing as both a designer and problem solver.

A third year at the University of Georgia, Amelia is pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with a Marketing Major and a Dance Minor, as well as a Master’s Degree in Emerging Media through the Double Dawgs Program. Outside of the NMI, she is actively involved on campus through Alpha Chi Omega, Camp Kesem, and UGA Miracle. In addition, she teaches dance to a variety of students at The Studio Athens and currently works as the Social Media and Marketing Coordinator at 5 Points Prep.

Within the NMI, Amelia is comfortable helping with a variety of tech and design areas, including HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript, WordPress, and front end project structure. She also has experience working with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Canva, and enjoys helping others troubleshoot, learn new tools, and find solutions to creative challenges. Outside of tech and design, Amelia is passionate about dance, all things creative, and dogs. She has two pugs at home, Copper and Penny, and is a lifelong Disney enthusiast who loves anything that sparks joy.
