Athens Little Free Pantry
Every day there 25,413 people living in Athens-Clarke county that wake up in the morning not knowing if there will be enough food for the day. Will they have to skip breakfast and lunch? Will they have the opportunity to eat today? Help the local Athens non-profit, Athens Little Free Pantry, in their mission to reduce the food insecurity rate so those questions no longer have to be asked.
With over 10+ pantry locations and 24/7 access, volunteers can provide immediate relief to those who need it the most without having to travel too far or worry about scheduling conflicts. This low-cost, direct action initiative allows for neighbors to help neighbors and provide anonymity for those who prefer it.
Visit AthensLittleFreePantry.org to find out how to join the fight in reducing food insecurity. The website provides a map of the pantry locations, a list of acceptable and unacceptable donations, sign-up for reminders to donate, and hosts an FAQ section.
