The New Media Institute would like to extend many congratulations to three of our very own alumni, co-founders of Vert Mobile, an Atlanta-based full service social and mobile media marketing company, that was recognized as the second fastest growing company owned or operated by UGA alumni during the fifth annual Bulldog 100 Celebration Jan. 25.
The co-founders, Kevin Planovsky (ABJ ’05), Michael Lentz (ABJ ’06), and Matt Griffin (BBA ‘05), were very involved with Grady College and the NMI as Mobile Media Scholars. Their company’s vision ties in closely with lessons learned at the NMI, as they believe that “digital communication is the future of all communication,” a principle that their award-winning company, and the NMI, was founded upon. Dr. Scott Shamp serves as a strategic advisor for Vert.
Vert works with mobile, social and digital media to create modern, interactive experiences of their clients’ brands. Their reach has extended to clients as large as ESPN, Crystal Springs, Taco Mac, Heineken, and The Weather Channel.
We are so proud of you and your work—thank you for carrying the New Media Insitute’s vision with you to make your mark on the (digital) world.
We wish you the best of luck with the future of Vert Mobile. You’ve made it work. Now make it work better.
