TEDxUGA Student Idea Showcase

November 1, 2019
Last week, the TEDxUGA Student Council hosted the 8th annual Student Idea Showcase. Eight students from across the University took the stage at the Fine Arts Theatre to share their unique ideas worth spreading with the UGA community.

In the spirit of TED, this year’s showcase featured talks that examined a wide range of fascinating subjects. The presenters shared their big ideas about game-changing stroke research, the health benefits of acting, making ideas with 3D printing, and more. We are proud of each of our student presenters and their dedication to ideas worth spreading! While all eight presenters kept us entertained and informed, three have been selected to represent the student body at TEDxUGA in March. Samantha Spellicy, Tot Keller, and John Jardin will join the slate of faculty and alumni presenters taking the stage in the Classic Center Theatre on Friday, March 27th.

Save the date for TEDxUGA 2020: Next Level, and stay tuned for registration information and the final presenter slate to be announced in the new year!
