Meet the NMI’s newest office addition, Alexa – Amazon’s smart voice-powered assistant. Alexa has moved into the NMI break room where she currently assists with simple tasks such as playing music on command and turning the lights on.
The real fun will come next semester when capstone teams are charged with taking advantage of Alexa’s API to build innovative new voice-powered applications as part of our connected living initiative. Look for an array of Amazon Echo projects to be debuted at our Fall 2016 SLAM
