STEPs
Julie Hardeman, a former special education teacher, seeks to create a website to serve as a central hub for families seeking guidance and support in navigating the complexities of caring for individuals with disabilities (IWD). With her extensive experience and deep understanding of the unique challenges these families face, Julie’s goal is to ensure that no individual with disabilities is shortchanged in accessing the resources, education, and support they deserve. Working with Julie will provide resources and opportunities, helping empower parents and caregivers to advocate effectively for their IWD. Through building a website on WordPress, we will establish a platform catered to Julie’s services called STEP’s.
The primary feature of the website is for users to easily find resources they may need. Whether families need help understanding their rights, navigating school systems, or applying for scholarships, Julie’s tailored one-on-one support can make a significant difference. The website will make it easy for users to schedule sessions directly, choose the type of consultation they need, and receive guidance that is specific to their IWD’s situation. This direct access ensures that families have a trusted partner in Julie, who is committed to helping them overcome barriers and achieve their goals.
The website will also highlight success stories and testimonials from families who have benefited from Julie’s expertise, creating a sense of community and hope. By showcasing real-life examples, the site will demonstrate the tangible impact of Julie’s work and inspire others. Additionally, the website will have a regularly updated blog with articles, resources, and tips related to disabilities, ensuring that visitors stay informed and engaged. Through this combination of educational content, direct support, and community building, the website will become an invaluable resource for families seeking to improve the lives of IWD.
