This semester, the NMI offered a new three-part Portfolio Workshop Series led by our very own Kyla Sterling! The series was designed to support students as they developed thoughtful, polished digital portfolios.
Every session centered on a key stage of the portfolio-building process: ideation, personal branding, and featured projects. The students recieved dedicated time to reflect, experiment, and consider how they want to share their work with the world.
Throughout the series, Kyla emphasized actionable next steps and encouraged students to bring their authentic selves to the screen. It was truly inspiring to watch students gain confidence, learn from one another, and build a clear plan for a portfolio they can carry into the rest of their professional careers.
Portfolios remain one of the most important assets New Media students graduate with as they provide a meaningful showcase of their skills and accomplishments. We would like to give a big round of applause to Kyla for guiding students to approach their work with clarity, support, and momentum!
