Megan, mam82034@uga.edu, is an Emerging Media Masters student on the one-year track. This is her second semester with the NMI. She graduated from UGA’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication in Spring of 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising and a General Business Minor from Terry College of Business.
Megan has worked multiple jobs so far in the creative design industry. In her undergrad years, she held two campus jobs: one with the communications team in Mary Frances Early College of Education, and one with UGA Engagement Leadership and Service (ELS). Using the Adobe Suite, she was responsible for creating a wide variety of communication materials such as signs for digital screens, e-newsletters, brochures, posters, flyers, conference programs, and social media graphics. Currently, Megan holds a graduate assistantship with the UGA Graduate School. There, she manages social media content for the graduate school’s channels via Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. She also takes photographs/video/interview content and edits the material for use on digital platforms. Lastly, she is the Media Manager at Classic City Church in Athens, Georgia. She works closely with the church staff to design visual elements for presentations, print, video, web, and social media as well as edits/uploads/posts the sermon podcast weekly on Spotify and the church website.
If you need any help with any of the above things that I have worked on (or even something else you think I may be able to help you figure out), please don’t hesitate to reach out or join my Xpert hours!!
