NMIXpert: Danielle Kadom

Danielle has been involved with the New Media Institute for over 3 years. Currently, she is pursuing a Masters in Emerging Media on the 1-year residential track. During her time as an undergraduate, she majored in Cognitive Science with an emphasis in Artificial Intelligence, minored in Computer Science, and completed the New Media Certificate on the Dev track. Outside of the NMI, Danielle is a Graduate Researcher at Grady College’s Digital Media Attention and Cognition Lab where she uses eye-tracking technology to study people’s responses to various forms of media and AI-generated content. In the summer of 2023, she received a certificate of UX Design from IBM as a result of work in her time in their Accelerate program.

Danielle specializes in the intersection of people and technology, using strategic design as a means to convey information. She has technical experience using Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom. In addition, she has experience in Native iOS development using Swift and Xcode. She has experience using back-end software languages like Java and Python as well. Danielle is available to assist with user research, creative ideation, design thinking, and graphic design. She also offers support in building portfolios and personal branding.

Beyond her technical expertise, Danielle is an advocate of sharing resources to help others leverage AI and emerging technologies to enhance their workflows. Outside of the classroom, Danielle can be found painting, listening to her favorite music, or hanging out with a cat.
