This spring, we are partnering with the UGA Mentorship Program which matches students with UGA alumni, faculty, and staff who can provide direction and meaningful connections.
Tailored to students’ career and life goals, mentors provide an added boost of support that students need to confidently enter new stages of their academic or career journeys.
The NMI Fam is full of dynamic alumni who can offer valuable insights to current NMI-ers. And we need YOU to be a mentor for students like Danielle.
Danielle Kadom, an Emerging Media Masters student said,
“I was able to find someone who has also studied Cognitive Science with an emphasis in AI and psychology, new media, and computer science. I was really excited to find her because it is not often that I see someone with the same major as me because cognitive science is such a small major. We had a good conversation about careers in UX, and she helped me feel a lot better about positioning myself in the job search, and it was really nice to see someone who was once in my shoes.”
Becoming a mentor is an easy way to make a big impact on the professional development of our students. The Mentorship Program is a low-commitment and high-reward way to give back to the University and NMI!
