You know us: we’re always looking to make it work, then make it work better! Last year, we announced the revamped and reimagined SLAM experience – now known as NMIXpo. And this year, we are excited to return to Atlanta once again! We merged all of our events into one action-packed day, and we are heading to a new venue for a can’t-miss celebration dedicated to student projects that take innovation and creativity to the next level.
miniMerge
Friday, December 8
2:15 – 5P
Hosted every Fall, miniMerge celebrates the halfway point of Emerging Media Masters Capstone Projects. It is the culmination of the Fall semester where Capstone Betas are debuted.
This event features in-progress work, so it isn’t open to the public, but Emerging Media Alumni are encouraged to attend miniMerge as Capstone Consultants. In project consultation meetings, EM Capstone teams are paired with a set of rockstar EM alumni who offer constructive feedback, share words of encouragement, and provide guidance on future project development and direction.
EM alumni, we can’t do it without you! Plan now to join us and give back to those following in your footsteps.

SLAM
Friday, December 8
5 – 9P
Hosted every semester, SLAM features New Media Certificate Capstone creations. Everyone is welcome to attend this can’t-miss event celebrating student projects that push the boundaries of innovation!
SLAM will kick off with networking and snacks, followed by the student showcase. After presentations, we’ll celebrate with certificates and awards, and then cap off the evening with Xpo Encore—an opportunity for more networking and celebrating with students, alumni, and industry friends.

Thank You
A big round of applause for our Fall 2023 Sponsors — Crawford Investment Council, UGA Parents Leadership Council, and LIFE League. While our awesome students, staff, and faculty work hard to make it work, our sponsors’ commitment to the NMI helps us make it work better.
