This semester, the New Media Institute received a generous grant from the Verizon Foundation to work on projects dealing with Elder Media development in NMIX 2020: Introduction to New Media. Our students’ rose to the challenge and 18 projects, focusing on Elder Technology Initiatives, were presented to peers, UGA faculty and staff, and elder members of the Athens community! The NMI is proud of the 198 students who worked tirelessly to explore ways to improve the day-to-day lives of the elder community and for hosting a wonderful showcase of their ideas.
