Comics Appreciation Project
The Comics Appreciation Project (CAP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting the value of graphic storytelling in enhancing youth literacy among children in need. The client and founder of CAP, Jason Kelley, asked the team to “elevate” CAP’s website to better appeal to its audience and plan for future growth. The new site is a revamp that does just that, highlighting CAP’s non-profit status and their mission while not losing its connection to graphic novels.
The new site, which is hosted on WordPress, features a clean design with updated graphics and branding to ease navigation. Prioritizing accessibility and flow, the site’s layout is one of the key features of the revamp. The new site makes ample use of the tools that are offered through Elementor to display information in a condensed, yet visually appealing way. In addition to an updated layout, the new site presents a booking page that allows educators to reserve copies of graphic novels through CAP to use in their classroom.
The effect of these features is a site that clearly highlights and supports CAP’s mission in its layout, branding, and tools. The newly revamped site presents CAP’s audience with better navigation and stronger visuals that capture their attention and allows them to easily find the programs and support that they need.
