Drinking in the Experience at Coca-Cola HQ

The NMI was fizzing with excitement following our second in-state site visit of the Fall semester. Our day at The Coca-Cola Company started with a tour of the headquarters, which featured art displays and artifacts from Coca-Cola’s rich history – including a display of flags from every country where Coca-Cola products are sold.

After the tour, we enjoyed a Coke, er, presentation on the company’s story: from John Pemberton’s original creation ➡️ to Robert Woodruff’s role in growing Coca-Cola from a local favorite to a household name ➡️ all the way to the worldwide brand and product variety that we know today.

Next, we heard from team members who are leading a variety of initiatives within the company from sustainability and digital strategy to managing a global brand with an in-house agency. And since we’re tech nerds, Coca-Cola included a demonstration on how the company uses AI at all levels of production, communications, analytics, and more.

By the end of the day, the ideas and beverages were flowing. Huge thanks to Coca-Cola for another memorable site visit!
