Adobe Left the NMI Starstruck

Last month, ten NMIers traveled to the Adobe Max Conference in Los Angeles to join 10,000+ attendees for cutting edge workshops, jaw-dropping keynotes, and close-up connections with creative professionals.

The Adobe Max Conference is an annual convergence of the people who teach, make, and use Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and more). Can you be starstruck by software? After this week, our students would say YES. The keynotes had the Peacock Theater erupting with applause for new features and shocking sneak peaks.

Students chose from 250+ sessions over three days ranging from practical, hands-on workshops to inspiring presentations on how to thrive in a creative career. The sessions directly applied to coursework, internships, and personal creative projects for each student, and they shared notes from sessions, booths, and meet-ups when crossing paths at the LA Convention Center.

We have the best alumni!

On the last night in town, we caught up with some LA-based NMI alumni over dinner. In addition to chatting about post-grad journeys, the students learned about working for the LA Chargers, E! News, Disney+, Epsilon, and AMP from our incredible alumni.

It was a week full of pinch-me moments for students and faculty. Where will we go next? Follow us on social to catch all the fun!
