The NMI would like to extend a big “see you later” to our amazing faculty member, John Weatherford, and graduate assistant, Peyton Owens.
John has been a vital member of our NMI fam as a Principal Lecturer and Experiential Learning Faculty Advisor. From teaching Introduction to New Media to coordinating the certificate capstone experience, John’s tech prowess and passion for student development have made a lasting impact. While John is taking his talents to UGA’s entrepreneurship program, we are thrilled that his new digs are just down the street, and he is already exploring new collaboration opportunities between the NMI and ENTR certificates.
As the NMI’s Academic Coordinator, Peyton advised students through the New Media Certificate, Emerging Media Master’s, and Double Dawgs programs. With his enthusiasm for tech and unmatched charm, Peyton made an impression on everyone he met (and advised!).
While we will miss having John and Peyton in the office, they will always be a part of our NMI family! We are so grateful for everything they have contributed to the NMI and cannot wait to see what new adventures are around the corner for them.
