My name is Jack, and I have been taking New Media Institute classes since the fall semester of 2025, my third year. I have been at UGA since the fall of 2022 as an Entertainment and Media Studies major at Grady, with a minor in Film Studies, as well as being involved in groups like Writer’s Room, Film Club, Industry Club, SPARC, and more. I’m hoping to graduate in December of 2026 with a Bachelor of Arts in Entertainment and Media Studies. 

First and foremost, I am a media major with proficiencies in Adobe software like Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, and tons of other video and image editors I could list. I am working on improving my skills in Blender and Maya animation, but I am still pretty new to 3D modeling and the world of animating. I am good with tech, troubleshooting, and problem-solving in general, but in regard to software and New Media-oriented skills, I’ve become comfortable and capable in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and integrating a very small amount of Java into websites or other code-based projects. After taking Professor Baggett’s Web Development class, I am confident in my ability to mentor others in HTML projects, especially those revolving around Bootstrap. 

Outside of academics, I love movies and dramatic TV. I love a good story and tend to steer towards horror movies or weird, existential projects. I love video games of most kinds, though I’ve been really into grand strategy games lately, like Paradox’s CK3. I like to ski, bike, hike, fish, and be outside, though there’s not much of that happening with the winter storm coming. My availability is pretty open this semester, with Tuesdays and Thursdays specifically being my free days. I am free from 11am to 9pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with little to no availability on Mondays, Wednesdays, or Fridays. Please schedule me for either/both of these two days.
