NMIXpert: Shanice Cooper

Shanice is a Master’s student in Emerging Media at the University of Georgia and has been involved with the NMI since May 2025. She brings a strong foundation in writing, communication, and student support, shaped by both her academic background and professional experience. Prior to UGA, Shanice graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English and worked as a Writing Center Assistant at Georgia Highlands College (GHC), where she supported students with academic writing, critical thinking, and revision strategies across disciplines.

At UGA, Shanice is passionate about the intersection of storytelling, digital media, and emerging technologies. Her NMIXpertise includes HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, basic JavaScript, content strategy, UX-focused writing, research, and accessibility-conscious design. She is also comfortable working with tools such as WordPress, Adobe Creative Cloud, and AI-assisted workflows for writing and ideation. Shanice approaches tech help as both a problem-solver and a guide—often focusing on how to find answers, troubleshoot effectively, and build confidence in the learning process.

Outside of the NMI, Shanice is a proud mom who spends much of her free time supporting her kids at their various sports activities. She enjoys working out, listening to music, reading for Bible study, and trying new foods whenever she can. Her faith, curiosity, and love for learning shape both her personal life and her work within the NMI community.
