Impro Drywall

Impro Drywall has supported commercial and residential builders in South Florida for nearly 40 years. It was founded by Roy Ward II in the 1980s after he spent years learning the industry starting the age of 16. As a young baseball player, he always joked “I’m Pro”, hoping to play professionally one day. This personal motto became the inspiration for his own drywall company, Impro. After decades of servicing beachfront properties and building strong client relations, Roy retired and shared his legacy with his son, Jerrad.

Impro Drywall did not have any trace of a digital presence. There was no website, no page on a review service like Yelp, and not even a Facebook profile. As this current generation of builders in South Florida is starting to retire, a new generation of younger, tech savvy contractors is being brought up. Construction is a fast-paced, busy, multi-faceted industry. It’s imperative to not only have a digital presence, but to be easily found, to highlight the quality of work, and to be mobile-friendly for builders on the go.

We started with something every company needs: a branding kit. We choose professional yet noticeable colors and fonts, and created clean logos that showcase what the brand does without being overly complex. We developed the slogan. “Choose Pros. Choose Impro.“, to play on the name and make a bold, confident statement. The company was developed on Squarespace, fitting our client’s need for a user-friendly design platform. We built the pages based off of what’s popular and necessary to include in this industry, taking our clients “must-haves” into consideration to attract new builders and highlight current ones. Launching the brand presence allowed us to transition into Yelp, Facebook, and Instagram pages. These house general information about Impro, where to find it, and what they do. Our final deliverable for our client includes new branded merchandise materials such as t-shirts, hats, stickers, and a stand-out truck wrap.

The Impro Drywall legacy is launching into the digital space with a new, clean look but still holding the same, high-quality craftsmanship.
