Hi, I’m Mahek Charania, a junior at the University of Georgia majoring in Advertising and pursuing a New Media certificate. I first got involved with the New Media Institute through the Introduction to New Media class and have stayed connected ever since through courses and projects that allow me to merge creativity with technology.

Outside of the NMI, I’m an active member of the Talking Dog Agency, where I collaborate with clients and creatives to bring campaigns to life. I also work as a Social Media Assistant at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel, where I create and refine digital strategies to better connect with diverse audiences.

As an NMIXpert, I’m excited to help students with coding basics in HTML and CSS, as well as using tools like Canva and AI platforms such as ChatGPT in creative ways. I love diving into project planning, strategies and the little details that can elevate a project and add a personal touch. Whether it’s problem-solving or brainstorming, I’m always happy to help bring ideas to life.
