Last week, more than 30 NMI students took flight to Delta HQ in Atlanta for our final site visit of the year! NMI Alum and Advisory Council member, Kristyn Hicks, gave us a quick overview of Delta as a company, brand, and community. She also shared how she has transitioned through various positions at the airline powerhouse over the years.
Kristyn then opened the floor to fellow NMI grads Clarke Modlin and Michelle Li from Delta’s content creation and strategy teams. Our students were able to learn more about what social media looks like when working for a legacy brand and the amount of collaboration necessary to manage social platforms for a global leader like Delta.
Jay Cromwell, a product manager with Delta’s digital team, then led a discussion on how he and his team leverage technology and digital platforms to further streamline the travel process from the stance of both a consumer and frontline employee.
Over a delicious lunch, we met with members of the Delta College Recruiting team who shared details about Intern and Co-Op opportunities, giving our students an early foot in the door! We ended the day with a visit to the onsite Delta 747 Experience, which featured a stripped-down Boeing 747 for us to explore!
