LEARNsat
LEARNSat is the new venture from the University of Georgia’s esteemed Small Satellite Research Laboratory. LEARNSat will offer high school students the incredible opportunity to develop payloads and work directly with CubeSat technology. With this new venture comes the new LEARNSat website, designed to aid students with this new and out-of-this-world experience. But what is a payload? Or a CubeSat? Great questions! A CubeSat is just a small, square satellite. A payload is the scientific instrument that is carried on the CubeSat, hosting the information of the satellite’s purpose. Students will learn all of this and more with the new LEARNSat program.
The LEARNSat website is designed to eliminate the need of third party platforms like Khan Academy or TopHat. With LEARNSat, everything you need is all in one place. Consisting of not just general information & involvement forms, but an advanced educational platform as well. Upon your school’s purchase of the LEARNSat program, your faculty and students will receive not only a CubeSat assembly kit, but also a password to access the stellar “LEARNSat Ed” page of the website. This page consists of different educational modules for students to complete. Each module will host content, including a variety of readings, videos, and quizzes the student must complete to move on to the next module.
The LEARNSat site is the newest, innovative high school CubeSat online learning platform where you can access everything at once. Say goodbye to third party platforms and extra payments, and fly into the stratosphere with the new, exciting LEARNSat program!
