NMIXpert: Liam Fennell

Liam Fennell is a new member of the NMI, beginning involvement in Summer of 2024 through the Emerging Media Masters Program after earning a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science in May 2024. As a first-year EM student and new member of the NMI, Liam is excited to get more involved in the community and meet his peers. Throughout undergrad, Liam was involved in a variety of clubs, notably the University’s UX Club and Association of Computing Machinery.

Liam is happy to help with all things design – whether it be UI/UX in Figma or getting the hang of the programs within Adobe’s Creative Suite! Liam is also comfortable assisting with web development. From HTML and CSS to frameworks and libraries such as React, Liam has you covered.

Outside of academia, Liam has experience working with various tech start ups as a Contractor doing Product Design and will be interning with Shopify this Fall. In his free time, Liam is passionate about photography and really all forms of media – books, movies, music, and art. He also loves to run (sometimes) and play soccer when it’s not too hot outside.
