NMIXpert: Swathi Ramaswamy

Swathi, sar01638@uga.edu, has been involved with NMI for three semesters now, in pursuit of an NMI Certificate. She got started in the NMI program at the beginning of Spring 2023 to pursue a UI/UX Design pathway.

Swathi is a fifth-year, pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Music Composition, a Minor in Computer Science, and a New Media Certificate. She has performed with the UGA Symphony Orchestra and UGA Wind Symphony. She is often found working on a 5th floor couch in the Hugh Hodgson School of Music!

Swathi specializes in the following coding languages: Java, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Within JavaScript, she has worked with the following 3D graphics libraries: p5.js and three.js. While Swathi is proficient in front and back-end of web development.

Outside of UGA, Swathi works at Sephora as a Beauty Advisor. She is also a bassist and vocalist in the funk-punk band, Tattoo Logic. In her free time, she enjoys arts and crafts such as knitting, crocheting, sewing, sketching, and applying fun makeup. If she’s not doing those things, you can find her watching anime (she just finished Attack on Titan) or watching YouTube video essays about various social topics. When she is home in Marietta, GA, she loves to dote on her dog, Dori, and when it’s not cold outside, she enjoys motorcycling with her dad!
