Preparing for the App Store

Hooray! You’re getting your app ready for submission to the App Store. That’s a huge, exciting deal!

New asset, to be integrated: https://developer.apple.com/app-store/pathway/

There are two main things you’ll need to address:

1) Gathering assets for the product page

Your app is getting ready to live on the App Store, and it’ll need all the things you see there for popular apps like Instagram. Thankfully, Apple has prepared a helpful guide on prepping those assets here.

2) Privacy and support

Apple requires that every app—even yours—has a privacy and support page. Here’s what we recommend.

First, create two pages, one at https://projects.nmi.cool/20XX/nmc/projectname/privacy and one at https://projects.nmi.cool/20XX/nmc/projectname/support. Then, do the following for each.

Privacy

We’ve drafted the following privacy statement that should hold true for most apps capstone teams will submit to the store. If any of the below doesn’t hold true for your app, talk with your instructor about how to address it. Otherwise, just fill in the App Name blank below, and post it to https://projects.nmi.cool/20XX/nmc/projectname/privacy.

The New Media Institute at the University of Georgia built the App Name app as a free app. This service is provided by the New Media Institute at the University of Georgia at no cost and is intended for use as is.
