Getting WordPress up and running on your domain is pretty straightforward. Below are step-by-step instructions for installing WordPress and removing any unneeded clutter once you’re up and running! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You’re going to start off by visiting your cPanel on Reclaim Hosting. It might have been a minute since you last logged into to Reclaim Hosting, so here’s how you get to your cPanel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, go to reclaimhosting.com<\/a> and click on “Client Area Login” in the top-right corner. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once logged in1<\/a>, click on cPanel in the main menu bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In cPanel, click on the WordPress icon under the Applications heading to go to the WordPress Installation page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next few steps will walk you through the selections you want to make for your installation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Location: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Under Location <\/strong>you should see your domain in the domain<\/strong> field, so no need to make any changes there. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Directory<\/strong> is important so read the next step carefully. If you leave the directory field blank you can install WordPress at the root of your site (e.g. yoursite.com will lead to your WordPress site). Otherwise, you can specify a directory if you want WordPress installed elsewhere (e.g. specifying “blog” will install WordPress at yoursite.com\/blog. For this first install, type: playground<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
